Chapter 3


Dear Diary,


My bags were unpacked and everything was settled in my new house.  I felt comfortable, when I woke in the morning.  I got ready, than I walked to the Town Hall.  It was 10:30 AM when I arrived. " Good morning, this is the Town post Office, how may I help you?" Said a tall white bird named Pelly.  " Oh,ah, well I am new to Newberry and I wanted some assistance on where I might find a job." I said. " Oh, yes,yes Lizzie! It's an honor to have you, take this map and go up to Nook n Go, he can help you out." Said Pelly with a smile. I nodded and waved goodbye.  I saw the small store, and I stepped in. " Hello, Lizzie! I'm Tom Nook, Nook for short! I got something you can't refuse, I know its out first chat and all, but what do you say to a par time job? Huh?" Asked Nook. " I said, nice to meet you, and yes I will take it, sounds more great than a grape! " I smiled.  " Great, work starts now! Deliver this to "Drake" and don't be pesky and open it!" "Oh, ah,ok". I said. What a bold move, making me work in our first 2 minutes of knowing each other...I thought to myself. I used my map to find Drakes house on the map, when I arrived his house was small and brown, I knocked on the door.  He opened it. I walked in and he looked shocked " a human! No Way, who,what.AHHH?!?!" I cleared my throat and began," My name is Lizzie, call me Liz or Lizzie I don't care.  I am new, and I work for Nook. Here's your Regal Carpet". I handed it to him and he nodded. "Quack a quuu, welcome to Newberry." He said, then he handed me $200 bells and I returned to Nook with the money.  Nook began " You're doin great, enjoy your job. Your work starts Monday, I just wanted to see if you were capable or doin somethin, you were. Buh bye now!" I walked out with a smile, and a wave.

Dear Diary,






I hopped off of the bus taking one last look at Kappan, then I said, " thanks for the ride over." Kappan said " No problem, you paid me anyway." I nodded and walked off of the bus platform.  As I walked forward, my eyes gazed around town in amazement. Everywhere I look I saw an animal. A purple duck walked across the rocks near the platform, I hopped off and said " Hello!" she looked at me, in pure shock, and said, " Who,what,when,where,why?' I replied, " Learning grammar, are we?" I walked to her with my hand out and she shook it. " Mallary." She said with a nod. "Lizzie." I said and walked away. Then I turned around and my hair spun and I said,  " Wait, do you know where I can find a woman named Phyllis?" She looked at me and gulped, " You don't wanna see Phyllis, wait til morning and a bird named Pelly will be in the town hall, talk with her.  " Why?" I said. She looked at me and said " My moms sarcastic and rude, my aunt is very kind a helpful, my uncle is the same. They all work for the post office. Aunt Pelly works the days, Mom Phyllis works the nights, and Uncle Peter is the mail man." She said. " What do you work?" I asked. " My job is best of all, I work the nothing." She said.  I nodded and replied " Thanks, maybe we'll catch up again sometime. But until then I guess  I will rest at my new house, but someone at the town hall was going to help me unload my bags!" I said. " Allow me, tell then ol Mallarys got it taken care of." She said.  She took all of my bags and pulled them inside, I took my purse, " Thanks". I said. " No need, i'll make you unpack". She said with a grin.

Chapter 1, July 1st 2011.
Dear Diary,


Hello, my name is Lizzie, Lizzie Smith. I am 19 years old and graduated high school when I was just 17. I decided it was my time to move out. I have been looking at a town called " Newberry " and decided it was the one for me.  It will be hard leaving all of my friends in Scavia but there is something I like about Newberry, something strange and I think may be unreal.  Newberry claims to be part of a continent called "Animal Crossing" They are in a state called "Cityfolk". There are only three states Cube, Wild World, and City  Folk. So anyway I have all of my bags pack, and i'm standing in front of the door as Mom and Dad look at my with teary eyes.  I hug them close, savoring this moment forever.  I walked out the door with my bags dragging behind me. I took one last look back at the town i'll never forget.  A bus pulled up to the station, I hopped on. Little did I expect, the driver was a duck! A fat, green duck!  "WOAH!!"I said. I stepped back. " What did ye expect me young lass? A old lady te be drivin? HAR HAR HAR!" He said with laughter. " I didn't expect any animal, i'll tell you that much!" I said, in a state of shock. " Har har, young missy, call me Kappan, what be ye name?" He said. " Lizzie". I said with a swallow. I took a seat in the front of the bus and we were off. I guess that's where it starts, right here. I'll be keeping a diary, read along with me to see what happens in my Animal Crossing adventure, after all I haven't yet  even seen Newbery. Kappan says " Yee be reachin Newberry by tomorrow!" Well I hope so!
